- Students from other SUNY campuses pay tuition to their HOME CAMPUS (remaining fees listed above paid to New Paltz).

- Accommodations and Meals Breakdown: Balance of Homestay and breakfast $2200, Meals (lunch and dinner) $750 -$1000. Students participating in the pre-term language program should budget an additional $500 for housing. The rent includes a private room with a bed, a fan, a weekly change of sheets and towels, access to light and gas and a Brazilian breakfast (coffee, milk, bread, butter, jelly and fruit). Access to kitchen and laundry facilities is also included. Telephone use is to be arranged between the student and the family. Please be aware that some houses have only shared rooms (2 beds). In this case the rental per student will be lower than the private room. Not all homes have internet available. For the houses with internet access, the price for the connection is R$ 35 per month. The monthly rent with breakfast included is R$2,270.00 (Reais), or $600 USD, per month. If a meal option is available (lunch or dinner), the cost per month will be approx. R$ 2.420,00 (Reais), or $640 USD at the current exchange rate.
